The position provides administrative and clerical support to the Southwest Virginia Community College Workforce & Continuing Education division. Creating classes and registering students in WES system. Works directly with students, faculty, and staff. Preparing and maintaining class and faculty schedules, division and grant budgets, and various reports. Coordinates special events. Procuring office supplies/services as needed. Effective problem-solving skills, listening, and aiding various groups within the college setting. May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Located in Richlands, Virginia, SWCC offers associate’s degrees in such fields as business, education, general studies, liberal arts and science. These degrees are primarily intended for students who wish to transfer to a four-year university. SWCC also has associate degrees that feature programs intended to lead directly to a career in fields such as Nursing, Radiography and Administration of Justice. Southwest Virginia Community College seeks an Administrative and Office Specialist. This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Southwest Virginia Community College Transportation & Logistics Center Operations located in Buchanan County, Virginia.
