A little about us and why we need one-another: Over 100 years ago, a man named John Thurman Curry started out hauling luggage for travelers from the Parkersburg train station to their homes. He called his company J.T. Curry Transfer, and this was our humble beginning. Now, five generations later and still a family business, we call ourselves Curry Warehouses. Because of our exacting standards, we are the premier third-party logistics company in the area. Our forklifts are top of the line and all-electric. Our human resources department provides employees with an App which connects them instantly to a snapshot of everything going on in the company and allows control over much of what happens with them. We utilize a state-of-the-art warehouse management system (WMS). Our innovative storage techniques and processes set standards globally. We need motivated, reliable, and hard-working Warehouse Operators. If you become one for us, you will play an important role in ensuring our warehouse operates with perfection. The following education and experience are necessary for this position: • a high school diploma or GED • 2 years forklift experience in a distribution warehouse setting To do this job you will need: • a high attention to detail. • the ability to lift 50 pounds. Your duties and responsibilities will be: • to operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner. • to perform daily forklift inspections. • to receive, store, stage, and ship customer materials. • to operate stretch wrapping machines. • to fulfill customer orders based on Picking Ticket. • to label customer materials as required. • to apply bolt seals to trailers as required. • to pull and prepare product samples. • to conduct cycle counts as required. • to safely operate a man lift when necessary. • to proficiently use scanning devices. • to help complete quality audits as scheduled. • to inspect and document condition of trailers prior to loading. • to give input on ways to improve Curry Warehouses.
