Responsibility

As an Electrician-Journeyman, you will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, and make necessary tests on all electrical systems and equipment 600v or less throughout the facilities. Work from prints, diagrams, specification, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of work to be done on electrical systems. Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems. Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments. Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus. Utilize a thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes. Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment, as required for maintenance programs on the basis of all information obtained through tests. Install conduit, wiring and electrical apparatus. Read blueprints and generate bill of materials. Perform other job-related duties, as assigned. Maintain part and tool inventories.
