Job Overview: RWJ Hamilton is seeking a highly dedicated Director of Quality and Infection Prevention. The Director of Quality and Infection Prevention is a leadership position that functions to provide strategic, operational, and thought leadership to support RWJUH Hamilton Infection Prevention and Quality initiatives and journey towards High Reliability Organization. The role provides direction and coordination to develop and implement evidence-based programs and services that produce measurable improvements in processes and practices that affect Quality and Infection Prevention and support high reliability across the organization. Required: • Education: BSN required, MSN preferred. • A minimum of 3-5 years current clinical experience in hospital Infection Control/ Prevention and/or Quality Program with line management experience Certifications and Licenses Required: • Certification/Licensure: NJ Nursing Licensure required. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required. • Certification in Infection Control: current or within 2 year of accepting position • CPHQ preferred Scheduling Requirements: • Day Shift • Monday Friday, some weekend commitment and holiday rotation • FT Essential Functions: Assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the departments and staff to assure quality service on a 24 hour basis Infection Prevention - planning, organizing, developing and directing the hospital-wide Infection Control program and its activities in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, regulations and guidelines to ensure that the highest degree of quality care in maintained at all times • Prepares and implements written policies and procedures all phases of departmental operations. Periodically updates department Policy & Procedure Manuel. Oversee the dialysis program at RWJ Hamilton Staff adequate and appropriate coverage for operations. Quality - planning, directing, coordinating and implementing all aspects of the regulatory compliance program and assist with the planning, directing, coordinating and implementing of the Quality program Establishes, implements and monitors annual goals and objectives which are consistent with the hospital's mission and objectives. All reports are thorough, accurate and submitted by assigned deadlines. Monitors activities of managers and supervisors to ensure compliance with established guidelines and policies. Facilitates strong lines of communication between managers and staff.
