Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Director of Events and Catering for our client at PTC in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong background in catering, event planning and restaurant management, excellent communication skill and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences. This position will need a visionary, innovative leader who has previous upper level Catering management experience who can manage a large, complex account, has strong financial acumen, sustainable dining and culinary understanding. A strong emphasis will be placed on client and customer engagement, strengthening the catering operations and growing catering and conference business. The responsibilities of this role include: • Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring they meet client expectations and Sodexo standards • Manage two small cafes • Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements • Work with the culinary team to ensure delivery of the menu • Prepare and present proposals to potential clients, • Prepare and manage budgets for each event to ensure profitability • Monitor expenses and find cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality of service • Hire, train, and supervise event staff • Track and analyze key performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, and customer feedback, to make data-driven decisions and improvements The ideal candidate should have experience in: • Event planning and execution • Sales and business development • Proven track record managing budgets • Managing a team • Restaurant Management • Analyzing and tracking reports • Solving problems through innovation and industry/market trends What We Offer Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
