Dining options consist of the Caf du Parc, a popular French bistro with seasonal outdoor seating, traditional Afternoon Tea in Peacock Alley, the classic Round Robin Bar and Private In-Room Dining. This challenging role will develop and implement the total sales and marketing strategies of the catering and conference services operations. As the Director, you will lead the day-to-day activities of the catering/conference services department and train and motivate a catering team that is responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and implementing reaching goals and strategies. This role establishes a client base of organizations, associations and commercial business through direct outside sales efforts for the purpose of securing business for the hotel. You will achieve budgeted revenues and personal sales goals while assisting management in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, and financial plans which support the overall objectives of the hotel. Youll need to be able to provide superb customer service, understand the customers requirements, choose the right venues and menus (as well as arrange food tastings) and ensure all the events are successful for staff and guests. You will be well-versed in proper table service, event set-up, table sizes and capacities as well as the appropriate table setting for casual and formal events and fine dining etiquette
