Responsibility

We are seeking a Sales Director, Compound Semiconductor Business Unit, to be based in the Bay Area, California, to formulate and implement the strategy to drive the growth of our CSBU products, including GaAs and InP substrates, Metal Organics for MOCVD growth, UHP metals for MBE growth, Specialty gases for semiconductor epitaxy and processing, and new downstream products such as epitaxial services for Production/Development, chip fabrication services for application specific projects, etc. The Director should work closely with the Management Team to set up and implement a sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets as planned. Rolling forecasts for a minimum of 5 years should be maintained and updated per market demands and fluctuations. Role will work closely with our management team and periodically interact with our production teams for enabling product development based on knowledge of market trends. Formulate and implement sales strategy for BU, with an aggressive growth mindset. Hire and manage other sales managers for individual products as needed and help them implement a sales strategy in alignment with overall sales goals. Facilitate product development strategy with Manufacturing Facilities and make sure product development is aligned with overall sales growth goal. Travel with sales team to key accounts on a regular basis and ensure all commercial potential is addressed. Work closely with Management Team and be a bridge between MT and Sales Team. Track and report sales progress to MT. In case of any deviations to Sales goal, elevate to MT as soon as possible with notes on how/if issues can be solved. Represent the BU at HQ Sales Meetings. Help Sales Team with Marketing strategy as needed

Since the potential customer base is in the San Francico Bay Area, it would be preferred for the position to be based there. A minimum of 50% travel, including periodic travel to Asia where most of our manufacturing facilities are located, is required.
