Responsibility

The Director will manage fleets and third-party carrier support and spend across multiple company sites. The position will also be responsible for safety and operations of truck fleet and rolling stock, drivers and dedicated third-party drivers. Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times. Ensure that all truck shipments are executed properly. Includes paperwork submittal, load tracking and WIN WEB system use. Support MIS on WIN system development for optimal Over The Road (OTR) tracking / management. Budgets for equipment repairs, maintenance, and utilization. Controls the lease of trailer assets including lease payments and proper fleet size. Obtains and return equipment as needed and in accordance with best financial practices. Utilizes the truck assets and routing to drive down transportation costs. Direct interaction with the OTR carriers to obtain pricing, negotiate contracts, develop loading and unloading facilities and reduce demurrage. Supports all truck requests for pricing and project business. Daily direct contact with operations to ensure transportation needs inbound and outbound are being met. Works with compliance department to ensure safe handling procedures in place for all truck shipments. Investigates and institutes corrective actions as needed. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business

The position will also be responsible for safety and operations of truck fleet and rolling stock, drivers and dedicated third-party drivers. Preferred location of this position is Norwell, MA.
