We are looking for a self-motivated team player to join our IPR Policy team, part of Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing unit. The team is distributed on several sites worldwide, and we now need to strengthen our presence in Washington DC! What You Will Do • As a member of this distributed team, you will focus on US policy developments and on building relations with policymakers and institutions to ensure our voice is heard on IPR policy topics. • You will work in close collaboration with other members of the IPR Policy team and provide support on IPR matters to the government relations team as well as the marketing & communications team. • Other activities include driving and representing Ericsson’s IPR position in various high-level standard development organizations and industry associations, as well as raising IP awareness in the context of standardization. You will help organizing meetings, events, and prepare consultations, briefs, IP policy messages and other supporting documents. You will bring • University degree in economics, political science, law, or engineering • Proficient in English, both spoken and written • Excellent social, presentation, and writing skills • Trusted relationship builder • Self-motivated, reliable, and rigorous team player. • 4-5 years professional experience. • Political experience and an ability to develop public policy positions. • Experience engaging with governmental institutions and agencies. • Some familiarity with or experience in contract law, competition law or IPR related matters. • Experience or strong curiosity about telecommunications. • Experience of PR and communications-based advocacy campaigns.
