Install, configure, plan, and maintain systems. Install Oracle software and configure for databases and provide resolutions for databases. Coordinate changes to databases and troubleshoot 10g/11/RAC NODE/ instance. eviction issues and document best practices. Troubleshoot RAC CRS auto start configuration issues and issues related to RAC. Database Listener and VIP crashes. Plan, coordinate, and implement disaster recovery plan and security measures. Install and troubleshoot Oracle applications R11i/R12 performance issues and apply patches or family packs as needed. Responsible for database design, troubleshooting, and planning. Responsible for data modeling and coordination for application migrations and updates with the application teams. Monitor database size and disk space in Production, UAT and Development environments. Work and troubleshoot failover cluster issues and provide the root cause by coordinating with other teams. Set up SQL. Troubleshoot the daily tasks such as backup failures and scheduled job. failures for maintaining successful database backups and resolving the disk issues in the servers. Perform database migration from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008/2008R2 with application downtime sent across to all the teams and clients. Perform SQL Server upgrades. and cumulative patches to all the servers for better performance and optimization. Perform the Database Archive activity using the IDERA SQL Compliance Manager tool. Responsible for user creation and provide necessary roles and privileges to the databases. Refresh the databases across all the environments using the backup and restore techniques. Create and schedule maintenance plans (Database Full and Log Backups, Cleanups). Monitor and administer the SQL Servers by Quest Spotlight Monitoring too. Review the Database Scripts from the application teams before deploying them in the production. Analyze the database health and growth reports monthly for proper capacity planning. Execute the Change. Management scripts on a weekly basis. Be available for on-call support as needed
