Responsibilities Do you have Oracle DBA and Linux Server Type Owner skills and Experience? Do you want to join a small but mighty team that is hands on supporting, scaling and strategizing the modernized billing platform at State Farm? State Farm’s Billing and Payments Modernized Billing Platform team is looking for a highly experienced Data Designer/Administrator that can join our team during a critical phase of our strategic plan. We seek a candidate that can immediately handle the role and responsibilities with little or no training and integrate rapidly with the team and the team’s current objectives. In this position you will: • Serve as a liaison between the platform team and State Farm vendor HCL to manage Oracle Resources. • Partner with team members to partition and prune Oracle DB in test and production. • Perform normal Linux Server Type Owner responsibilities. • Communicate and strategize with our vendor partner Majesco. • Review SQL queries and facilitate SQL creation and changes. • Partner with the team and various stakeholders to monitor, alert, investigate, identify, remediate production issues, and serve as a thought partner in strategic remedies short and long term. Qualifications Required: • Minimum of 5 + years of work experience using Oracle in a business environment. • Proficiency with SQL • Experience with Linux • Experience with Kubernetes (CaaS, ROSA) • Ability to work within a collaborative team and take initiative to work independently. • AWS certification, a plus.
