Responsibility

As Corporate Relations Manager this position drives the development of a comprehensive revenue-generating and relationship-building strategy with corporate partners to secure critical financial support through sponsorships, grants and gifts. This position manages all aspects of the sponsorship sales process with corporate partners, existing and new. This position helps build the impact of corporate support for History Colorado’s statewide work and mission. Serve as the primary contact for corporations and business partners, developing relationships to mutually enhance the visibility of the partnership, and meet organizational goals. Lead portfolio management for new and existing corporate partners, including prospect identification, research, outreach, engagement, stewardship, and sponsorship fulfillment. Strategize with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to create a pipeline for corporate prospects to generate, meet, and sustain revenue goals. Collaborate with other team members and departments to identify and secure corporate sponsorships for exhibitions and programs. Develop compelling proposals and collateral (sponsorship materials, partnership agreements, and contracts) in partnership with the Philanthropy & Membership and Marketing teams. Track and manage partnership and sponsor benefits, and ensure deliverables are fulfilled and results are communicated back to sponsors. Develop benchmarks and short?. Represent History Colorado in community networking, outreach, fundraising events, and corporate gift recognition events. Work with Database Manager to maintain accurate records of all corporate donor records in Raiser’s Edge, including all moves management actions. Partner with the Director of Volunteer Engagement to facilitate corporate volunteer opportunities and outreach and communications with corporate volunteer groups. Works with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to set performance goals in alignment with department and organizational goals. Ensures own work is accurate and timely and operates with a culture of accountability while maintaining customer service to donors, participants, volunteers, and other stakeholders — external and internal — as a priority. Travel locally in statewide service areas may be required, as well as occasional overnight travel for events and conferences. May attend offsite events as directed. Generally, the workweek is Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, occasional evenings and weekends may be required to achieve the goals of the department
