Responsibility

The Educator works under the supervision of the Childbirth Education Coordinator and the Nurse Manager. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures

Job Summary and Qualifications The Certified Car Seat Technician Educator demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in providing education programs for the Childbirth Education Department. Each instructor’s knowledge and skills is pertinent to the class(es) she/he is teaching. The Educator works under the supervision of the Childbirth Education Coordinator and the Nurse Manager. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. What qualifications you will need: • Colorado State Certification as a Car Seat Technician required. • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Training and/or experience relevant to class(es) taught. • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other team members as well as all internal and external customers. • Involves general guidance and direction by the Childbirth Education Coordinator and Nurse Manger. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
