This job is perfect for someone who has the skillset and experience of captaining large events but wants to only work part time and make great money for the time they work. Requirements: • Experienced banquet captain, catering manager or event planner • Strong leader and able to train staff • Excellent communication skills • Proactive and able to multi-task • You must have a car and be willing to travel to event sites which are located throughout the twin cities. • You must be available Friday and Saturdays and able to start between 3 and 5 pm. Job Description: Manage day of events from beginning to end. • Point person for client and venue • Meet staff and direct to appropriate duties • Receive and organize rentals, food, and all other vendors • Ensure that event is set up on time and organized for success • Manage and direct catering staff in the setting up of buffets, passing of hor'ds, serving of sit down meals, cake cutting and serving, etc. • Manage bar set up and execution of excellent bar service • Ensure client and guests are well taken care of • Ensure venue is cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the night Job Type: Part-time Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule Application Question(s): • Are you willing to travel throughout the twin cities to the different event sites? • Can you tell us why this position interests you and why you think you would be a good fit? • What are the three most important qualities you look for when joining a new company or taking on a new role. • Is there anything you would like us to know about you as we are considering all the applicants? • Are you available Friday and Saturdays from 12:00 on? • Please describe your current work or school schedule in detail (list days and times you work or have other commitments).
