Responsibility

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cooking, leadership skills and a passion for great food and top shelf service. As the Catering Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our catering events and producing gourmet quality food. This position will begin as a part-time position, with the possibility of becoming full-time. Our Catering Chef is primarily responsible for coordinating event menus and details with our clients; overseeing and training kitchen staff; ordering; and planning, preparation and cooking all of the food items. This is a position that requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills with your team and clients. This is a unique position, as our Catering Chef will work out of our cafeteria kitchen for some events, our mobile kitchen in a semi-trailer for others and out in the field in a less-structured setting for certain events. Some travel will be required, mostly in Arizona, although there may be events out-of-state. Such events usually require breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Travel time generally ranges from 4 to 14 days. Work on holidays may be required. Your expertise in hospitality and culinary practices will be essential in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests, no matter the setting. Manage all aspects of menu planning and food preparation for catering events. Supervise and train food prep staff to ensure high standards of service and food preparation. Collaborate with clients to develop customized catering menus that meet their needs and preferences. Oversee inventory control, ensuring that all supplies are ordered, received and properly stored. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency with Company standards. Manage scheduling for food prep staff to ensure adequate coverage for events

Overview Latitude Catering is an employee owned mobile food service company based in Tucson, Arizona. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Chef to execute our catering events. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cooking, leadership skills and a passion for great food and top shelf service. As the Catering Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our catering events and producing gourmet quality food. This position will begin as a part-time position, with the possibility of becoming full-time. Our Catering Chef is primarily responsible for coordinating event menus and details with our clients; overseeing and training kitchen staff; ordering; and planning, preparation and cooking all of the food items.
