Responsibility
The Category Management and Insights Manager will support category growth strategies by providing analytics and shopper insights that will drive data solutions to increase overall sales and profitability for Niagara. The role will work with Sales and Headquarter stakeholders. This Team Member requires an advanced working knowledge of all tools required to complete and present category and brand development related projects. Data tools include syndicated scan data, retailer transaction/loyalty data, custom shopper research and internal sales reporting. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple data sources, including category sales, market trends, customer behavior and other performance indicators, to create insights that drive business actions. Act as an advisor to the Sales Team, encouraging use of clear data storytelling to engage retailer customers and drive category growth. Build and maintain relationships with the retailer buyer and buying teams or category teams through objective detailed analysis, insights development and presentation. Combine data sources to identify opportunities for sales growth and expansion in the category and develop retail strategies using customer tools/systems, customer insights, key market data and analytics. Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and objectives. Collaborate with other departments to identify sales growth opportunities and work closely with the Sales team to develop data-driven selling stories to execute on those prospects.
