VP Area: Arts & Sciences Department: Arts & Sciences FLSA Status: Exempt Benefit Eligibility: Yes Position Summary: The Petree College of Arts & Sciences at Oklahoma City University invites applications for at least one and possibly four Full-Time faculty positions beginning of Fall 2024 start date may be considered. This is a 9-month teaching position in Computer Science. The position carries a 4/4 load and is available as a multi-year contract; option is available for Tenure-Track, which would include a 3 / 4 load, corresponding research requirements and additional service expectations. Teaching, Scholarship, and Service Requirements: • The department is especially interested in candidates who can teach Cybersecurity and Data Science. The department is further interested in candidates who can teach Web Programming, Game Development, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Web, Virtual Reality, Mobile Development, and Informatics. • Candidate can teach undergraduate courses in Intro to Computer Science, Programming I and II, Data Structures, Network Data Communications, Database, Operating Systems, Programming Languages, and Software Engineering. • Candidate can teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels--Web Programming, Game Development, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Web, Data Science, Virtual Reality, Cybersecurity, Mobile Development, and Informatics. • Candidate demonstrates a solid commitment to providing instruction in well-rounded programming capabilities within the beneficial context of a strong foundation in liberal arts. • The candidate will be committed to student recruitment and retention efforts, including advising and mentoring. • Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to curriculum and/or program development and/or program administration, especially at a small liberal arts institution.
