Responsibility
This role is pivotal in managing and leading a comprehensive administrative support program that encompasses financial management, human resources, and procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing all policy correspondence to ensure that budgetary, personnel, and administrative impacts are accurately represented. Additionally, the Administrative Officer will participate in the development of both short-term and long-term strategic planning for the organization, ensuring that the TSA's objectives are met effectively and efficiently. In this position, the Administrative Officer will supervise a team of administrative, clerical, and technical personnel. This supervisory role includes a variety of managerial duties such as assigning work, setting priorities, and reviewing and evaluating the performance of subordinates. The officer will also be responsible for approving leave requests, coaching and developing employees, and recommending corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary. Furthermore, the Administrative Officer will assist in budget planning and project management, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and that routine problems impacting the organizational unit's objectives are resolved in a timely manner. Coordination with external customers may also be required, enhancing the collaborative efforts of the TSA. Overall, this position requires a proactive approach to administrative management, with a strong emphasis on leadership, strategic planning, and effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
