Responsibility

In this role, you will report to the Oilfield Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for growing Stepan's business within the Oilfield Chemical market at our current customers and through the identification and development of new customers. You will be responsible for developing customer sales strategies and executing against company objectives. You will be primarily calling on procurement, business, and technical contacts within each company. Location: Houston, TX: This is not a geographical territory, there will be travel to other regions of NA Chemical Market Segment: Regional Formulators/Blenders, Service Companies and Operators. Sell Stepan products to both established customers and new prospects to deliver or exceed budgeted growth targets. Identify and advance opportunities for strategic product lines. Facilitate resolution to supply and delivery issues when necessary and ensure accurate pricing for customer invoices. Coordination of Global Account activities for customers operating in multiple countries. Negotiate new contracts in Coordination with Management. Develop a strong understanding of customer’s business, including goals and challenges through execution of meetings with a focus on technical interface. Maintain call reports and opportunity pipeline utilizing Salesforce. Prepare annual budget and maintain sales forecast. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Stepan’s products and resources, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations to have the ability to present a compelling value proposition to the customer
