Responsibility
Success in this means you need to be driven, autonomous, responsible & manage many moving pieces well to provide progress updates at moment’s notice. The Hub will increase the visibility of undergraduate research experiences infused into various departmental curriculum. Be involved with connecting those involved in research to resources or processes in place as a starting point & following up on data which will be provided to leadership. You will be the coordinator of the symposiums on campus, including all aspects as well as initial application review & presenter scheduling. Your professionalism will need to shine in your interactions related to logistics, info gathering or sharing as well as outreach to students. If you can juggle, manage projects, lead those in need of assistance while still defining specifics for The Hub & this role, apply as these would all lead to you being successful in this role!. Plans, coordinates and participates in the establishment and operation of a specialized program and/or activity planning methods and developing systems in accordance with goals and objectives. Develops and implements systems in support of program activities and provides adequate reference of data, documentation of procedures and processes and evaluation of program results. Compiles and analyzes information in support of program activities; prepares and distributes reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions. Assists with recruiting, enrollment, and support for students entering the program. Advises leadership on the status of current activities and additional or expanded program requirements; makes recommendations for solutions to problems identified. Serves as liaison with appropriate faculty, staff and outside sources such as FARE, WSU Connect, and McNair Scholars in consultation with the director, to obtain and provide pertinent information and to answer inquiries concerning program activities. Creates and manages student program applications and coordinates review processes for the director or related faculty committees. May prepare or assist in the preparation of budgets, grant applications, proposals, status reports and/or financial statements. Assisting in the advancement and overall growth of Hub. May identify and pursue ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative procedures used by students, faculty, visitors and staff. Maintains Hub website, databases, and other affiliated social media. Performs outreach to students. Provides administrative support to the Hub director
